What`s the project about?
We`re planning a research project on mental health and stigma among people with lung cancer and their families. The goal is to understand their experiences and make positive changes. We`re using a collaborative research approach called "Trialogue" to address mental health and stigma.
Why should you participate?
We`re doing preparatory work before applying for funding. We want to collaborate with individuals previously diagnosed with lung cancer and their family members before submitting our funding application. To ensure our research aligns with the experience of mental health and stigma in these groups, we need your input.
What would your participation involve?
Initially, we`re seeking a brief half-hour meeting to discuss the project and its suitability from your perspective. If our funding application is successful, we`d appreciate your continued involvement as a collaborator or co-investigator. You can decide your level of involvement in future stages.
Who is conducting the study & how do you get involved?

Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE) has launched its new survey for 2024 entitled ‘Lung Cancer: Information, Knowledge and Involvement in Shared Decision Making’.
They are seeking information from people impacted by lung cancer across Europe which will allow them to create a meaningful and impactful report. Your responses will enable LuCE to focus their advocacy work where it is most needed.

ILCC Lung Cancer Patient & Caregiver Event 2023
On the 17th November 2023 the ILCC held our 3rd in person event for patients and caregivers at the RCSI in Dublin, to mark Lung Cancer Awareness Month. We heard from some excellent speakers on topics such as recent advancements in lung cancer, managing treatment side effects, exercise intervention in lung cancer care and the psychosocial impact of lung cancer, as well as updates on the progress and activities of the ILCC. Thankyou to all the speakers, to all who attended and everyone involved in organising the event.
